Satun- getting from Tammalang pier to Satun bus station

Hi, I have been looking through net and can't find any information of how to get from Tammalang pier to bus station to catch bus going to Krabi. We will arrive from Langkawi by ferry to Trammalang pier in Satun, the pier is 10km far from Satun bus station. Does anyone know can we catch songthaew bus to Satun station and how much does it cost? And what is the name of that bus station where we have to get bus to Krabi. Any help would be much appreciated

Here, you got many option for Krabi from Perlis, Malaysia.

First option you take Long- Tail boat from K. Perlis to Satun Pier cost you 150B/person, from K. Perlis port just walk straight at the left in about 400m to Kuala Perlis Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia (Kuala Perlis Fish Development Center of Malaysia). No schedules, because this service operated independently by local people.

Second option you take train from Arau,Perlis to Hat Yai at cost RM9/person, train depart from Arau at 8AM and 4.45PM(Malaysia local time) and take bus to Krabi or Satun. From Kuala Perlis you can either take Mara Liner bus bound for Kuala Perlis-Kangar-Arau, RM1.50/person for Kuala Perlis-Kangar and another RM1.50/person to get to Arau from Kangar, or you also can hire taxi in ridiculous higher rate in about RM20/person to get to Arau from Kuala Perlis. From Hat Yai train station you take tuk-tuk to Hat Yai bus station. cost you 30B/person. Remember. No train available from Hat Yai to Krabi, the only simplest choice is by minivan or bus from Hat Yai bus station. The train can also stop at Padang Besar near the immigration of Padang Besar for border crossing.

Third, you can choose border crossing by taking Mara Liner Bus from Kuala Perlis to Kangar in about 30 minutes and cost you RM1.50(ringgit Malaysia) from Kangar take Mara Liner Bus to the border Malaysia-Thailand at Padang Besar in about 1 hour cost you RM3.50/person, ask around to get to the border, walking in about 10 minute to Malaysia immigration and another 10 minutes walk to Thailand immigration. After passport checking at the border, walk little bit to the main road, you can see from the border checking of Thailand side. From there you can have shuttle bus to Hat Yai. cost you 45B/person operate hourly until 5pm(Thai local time).

Note: Pay 10B or RM1 for person(female) who will fill up your personal detail on departure card at Thailand immigration counter and another 10B or RM1 for Thai Immigratin Official. Total cost at Thai immigration gate are 20B or RM2.

For the question above you can take Songtaew from Tammalang Port to Satun Bus Station in 15 minutes. cost you 30B/person. Then continue you journey to the upper country side of Thailand
