Sheraton Moorea Room Catagory

OK Guys, please bare with me. We were thinking that we should stay on land in Moorea (my husband thoughts, not mine). So my questions then becomes...which land catagory to pick. I have reviewed the Expedia virtual map of the resort. However, that map only calls out the location and provides a vitual tour for the OWB and the garden bungalows. I was also unable to find a written room catagory breakdown. This would have helped somewhat because then I would have at least been able to visualize based on their description. Without either a physical photo/virtual tour and/or a written description, I am left to imagine or guess which is something I am uncomfortable doing, especially considering the money and time involved.

I guess it boils down to these questions...

Are the beach bungalows 'true beach' bungalows? Meaning are they actually located right on the sand (I don't want to walk accross sidewalks and landscaping to make it to the beach)? Are they very close in proximity to the water? Is there a lot of foot traffic in front of the beach bungalow? Does the beach bungalow off an element of privacy from the general public ( I am not so much worried about privacy from a neighbor on each side)? If I were to pay for the beach bungalow I want to know that it is very close to the water, that my view would consist of water, not the backside of 100 OWB or the backside of 100 people who set up camp in front of me.

If I were to go with the standard garden bungalows in comparison to the deluxe garden bungalows...what is the difference? Location? Exterior ammenities? Please elaborate?

My big issue being that I would have liked to view exterior photos/ and room catagory breakdowns/descriptions.

In other words, If the beach bungalow is what I dream of it being then I will book it. If not, then I would book a garden, which leads me to what are the differences between the garden and superior garden? If they are basically the same except for location then I would probably opt to save the money and go for the basic garden instead of the superior garden.

Once again, I am thankful for all input. Finding you guys has made me feel confident that I will book properly. Thanks, DDW-O

Save the money and take the Garden bungalow for that extra level of privacy

the difficulty in these parts of the world where all the romantic couples are flocking is that at any time of day, That lovey-dovey walk on the sand by the water edge would happen right in front of your bungalow.

This in turns implies that you would sleed with the curtains shut for your privacy Then what is the point of having a beach bungalow?

Hope this helps and that you would love too Moorea ( As i do )

I have to agree that even the Sheraton Moorea website doesn't break down there room categories very well. Kinda frustrating.

Your Tahiti specialist should have at hand all the data you are looking for ( maps or ammenities in the rooms)
