Party scene in Cebu City are not concentrated on its beaches rather they are more confined in downtown Cebu but beach resorts like Shangri-la would definitely organize their own parties during the holidays.

There will be a New Years Eve countdown street party in Makati at the corner of Peninsula Manila hotel. There will be all night concerts, lots of food, overflowing drinks!

You need to have dinner to enter Peninsula Hotel. Maybe you can have dinner at Greenbelt area? They have Al Fresco Dining then you have have drinks while waiting for the countdown.

Manila Bay can be fun and festive during the christmas and new year season. With lots of restaurants offering noche buena and media noche buffets, you can not go wrong. Better yet, plan a staycation in any of the hotels in the area with your family and indulge yourself in their luxury service to welcome the new year.

It is better for you to start a new thread.

This thread will get lost and push to the bottom.

I disagree. That's all beach stuff you are planning. And when you get to Boracay there its just full of Koreans not Filipinos. Why not Manila for three days. Then up to the mountains of Baguio for a couple of days. Then down to Bauang for the unspoilt local beaches. Then onto Vigan a world heritage site with spanish influence. Then back down to SubicBay for some rain forest. Then back to Manila. You get to see a whole lot more that way.

PaulBooth that isn't true. At the moment there is o nice, mixed young crowd of different nationalities in Boracay. My current drinking buddies are from all over the world - Irish, English, American, Russian, Australian, Colombian, German and Finnish to name a few. To an extent it does depend on what nightspots and bars you frequent as to who you'll meet. Station 2 is most commercialised and popular with Filipino tourists as they think it is trendy there and prioritize hanging in malls and going to Starbucks. There are quite a few Koreans in that area too. In Angol, south of station 3, you'll find more of an international traveler scene.
