Sightseeing Pass

Hi

Having difficulty in finding info online on local transportation save for this:

…kyoto.jp/visitkyoto/…

.

Am looking to get the 2 day tourist sightseeing pass (Y2000) that includes train, bus & discounts to attractions. Does this include the buses/trains to both Arashiyama area (Keifuku line) and Fushimi Inari (JR)?

What is the Special One-day Open Tickets for Arashiyama Y900? If the sightseeing pass gets me to Arashiyama, then all I need to do is to pay for the entrance fees to Tenryu-ji? So I won't need it right?

Thanks!!

The 2 Day Pass does not include the bus/trains to Arashiyama nor JR train to Fushimi Inari. It covers subways and Kyoto City Bus (Arashiyama is out of the zone.)

The Keifuku Special One-day Open Tickets for Arashiyama is useful only if you can take the Keifuku Line to Arashiyama. If you're starting your trip to Arashiyama from Kyoto Station, for example, this ticket is useless.

Where are you staying in Kyoto?

We will be staying in the Kiyomizu area. On the first day we arrive, we are training in from Kansai Airport. So we thought of spending the rest of the 1st day visiting Kiyomizu Temple and surrounds by walking. Then the next 2 days we thought of using the the tourist pass.

If you're going to Fushimi Inari and Arashiyama on Day 2, walk to Kiyomizu-Gojo station and take the Keihan train to Fushimi Inari. Afterwords, take the JR to Kyoto Station and transfer to the JR Sagano Line to Arashiyama. You don't need a pass.
