Hi,

I have just come back from Japan, (second visit) and had to curtail a lot of our plans due tp the heat. Just be prepared to curtail your itinerary if you find yourself becoming overcome by heat exhaustion and drink lots of water.

It is also a good idea to visit some shrines/temples/areas after dark if possible. We did this last year with Gion and the Yasaka Shrine - going round at about 11pm and this year, did the same thing at Senso-ji in Asakusa, (the doors were closed to the temple itself, but that didn't bother us).

:)
