When is it low season?

Hi,

Just wondering when does the low season start? We're just checking this out in relation to hotel rates and when they switch from the high season ratento the low season rate?

Thanks.

generally may/june and sept./october are the lowest. there are two main seasons, european/chinese november to march and middle east july/august. of course, there are year round visits from malaysians, peaking in school holidays, and australians year round too.

Great, thanks for the information.

We're staying in the AB Motel at the moment and are really happy with our choice. The price has stayed at the high season rate for the duration of our stay. Ah well!

Dear BarbadosSecret1,

good choice, AB gives good value for money and the location is great. I hope you got a room facing the ocean.

Even during peak season Langkawi never feels crowded. And the restaurants do not change their prices.

Yes, we did manage to get an ocean view room luckily!

It was one of the places you listed in recommendations you gave us on where to stay on another topic so thanks again for your help!
