Christmas 2009 Villa/Hotel?

Hi everyone,

New to this forum. Having been to the Caribbean in 2008 for Christmas and it rained a lot of the time! Someone has suggested Thailand for Xmas 2009. Can you help by telling me where to go so that we don't get rain? We usually rent a villa in Barbados too and wondered what you all thought about renting a Villa in Thailand? never been before so is it a good idea or should we go in a hotel.

Look forward to hearing from you all!

Thanks very much.

Hi,

You cannot guarantee the weather in Krabi over Xmas, we were there Xmas just gone and it rained the whole time and for most of the day, not just short outbursts.

Not sure of the prices of villas in the Caribbean but villas tend to be expensive in Thailand especially in peak season.

We were in Khao Lak the week previous to Krabi and not a single rain drop in sight. We stayed at Le Meridien in a pool villa and can highly recommend both the hotel and the villa.
