Ride 4 Kids is an organisation thought up by Tom Moessle, the owner of the Bavaria House Restaurant in Bang Niang. The organisation brings together bikers and bike clubs from not only all over the world to raise funds and deliver essential items (VERY essential such as rice for daily meals) to the needy children, mainly orphans, in and around Khao Lak.
The Orphanage was initially set up to accommodate and care for Tsunami orphans but as those orphans have been cared for, developed and gone on to work, go to University or have families of their own as they grew older, it now embraces orphans from local broken families, victims of violence and even some slum orphans from Bangkok.
The Orphanage exists on charitable contributions and donations in cash and kind and the bikers, "Angels with hearts of gold", get together to process from Bang Niang to the orphanage carrying much needed supplies.
If anyone has their own transpiration you are welcome to join this Run, which we have been privileged to be on for 4 previous occasions, or we have up to 5 spare seats in our car to take anyone interested in going.
The Run starts at 1pm from the Bang Niang Beach Road opposite the entrance to the Mukdara Resort on one side and Smile Plaza on the other. Participants start to gather in the Bavaria House Restaurant which is at the bottom of the Smile Plaza from 11am to 1pm
If anyone wants to come with us please send me a PM to make arrangements where to meet. First 5 get a seat, others on the roof! LOL
This is not all though. At 8pm in the Bavaria House there is the first of a series of free concerst by German Rock Artist, Richie Newton, himself a keen supporter of kids' charities. Should be a great day!!!
