Menu Suggestions

Hi, we are headed to Khao Lak in a couple of weeks. It's been a long time since we visited Thailand and we wanted to ask if anyone can help us with menu dishes to look out for that are "healthy". We love eating out but this time around need to be careful with the calories etc. are there Thai dishes that we could look for that don't include fried food or lots of coconut milk or palm sugar? Any thoughts welcome.

Som tam which is a spicy papaya salad. Another healthy favorite of mine is the glass noodle salad with prawns / shrimp (not deep fried). Enjoy! The food is wonderful in Khao Lak, so much choice and excellent quality.

Except for very local "local" restaurants most menus are in English so easy to see which dishes are deep fried, steamed, contain coconut milk etc. If you don't want sugar, ask for no sugar. It's the beer and the cocktails that are the biggest temptation for calorie counters! LOL
