Khao Lak and another resort

Please Help,

We are travelling to Thailand on 28th Nov staying in Bangkok for 3 nts before travelling somewhere for 4 nights then ending in Khao Lak for 4 nights.

We need advice where to stay in KL must be near places to eat and Bars, walking distance. Must be on the Beach and 4 or 5 star but reasonable priced.

Have no idea where to stay for the 4 nights inbetween, must be away from Patong, and have nice beach, quiet relaxing within walking distance of bars and food.

Advice please

The 4 nights in between take a look at Nai Yang. It's 10 mins from Phuket airport and has some great 4-5 star accommodation such as Indigo Pearl and the Dewa. It's a small village on a quiet beach with plenty of dining options.

What is "reasonable priced"? You will be in High Season but not yet Peal Season but prices for 4 & 5* vary and beachfront is most expensive. For Khao Lak I suggest you use Booking.com to search for your dates and budget then come back for more information on any you fancy.

For the previous 4 nights have a look at Nai Yang Beach, a lovely very Thai beach resort just 10 minutes from Phuket Airport then you only have just over an hour from there to Khao Lak and back. Again depending on your budget you could try Mai Khao Beach which is 15 minutes or so north of Phuket Airport so a bit nearer to Khao Lak but fewer local restaurants than at Nai Yang.

Arandora I call 'snap' on our replies suggesting Nai Yang beach at exactly the same time!

Another suggestion is the Laguna area in Phuket. We did a two centre at La Flora khao Lak and the Angsana Phuket which has a lovely beach and is a quiet area, nothing like Patong.

It would help as requested in earlier reply if you stated what your budget is. If you are searching now use Booking.com if you have not already as it has most of the accommodation in Khao Lak listed. Put in your dates, price range and standard then come back for information on any that you fancy for more information on location etc.
