The Centara Seaview is a split site resort either side of the access road running parallel to Nang Thong Beach which has local restaurants and bars along it then more up the beach road to the centre of Bang La On where there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops in both directions. There is direct access through the inland part of the site through Mc Donald's Plaza to the centre just further down the highway. See site map at https:/…1169609929.jpg

The main market is 10 minutes by taxi up the highway in Bang Niang and is held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday afternoon from about 1pm to 7pm.

When we were there in May the old markets in the centre of Bang La on, just south of Nang Thong supermarket and opposite Ten Star Café, had been demolished and a new larger undercover market area was being built. I would assume it is operating by now. There will be plenty of the normal tourist goods I am sure.

From Centara walk up to McDonalds plaza turn left and walk 100 metres or so. If you look at the Khao Lak Discovery webcam available above, it will be somewhere near the blue billboard and white roof that can be seen behind the green KT Optic sign. The 3 times a week Bang Niang market will have a lot more variety of the "same same but different".
