beach bungalows at bang niang

Hi all

We stayed at Nang thong beach resort last November in a beach bungalow and loved it. We have booked to stay there again this November, however would like to split our holiday with a beach bungalow near bang niang beach to visit more restaurants and bars in the area this time. Finding it hard to find any beach bungalows, any recommendations. Thanks in advance.

1. Re: beach bungalows at bang niang

There are no beach bungalow sites with flat direct access to Bang Niang Beach like the NTBR resorts have to Nang Thong Beach. This is due to the main part of the beach being subjected to severe erosion over the past decade. This leaves the resorts on the main central part much lower than the resorts which now overlook it with the ocean coming right up to walls and fortifications built to contain the ocean. See pics at https:/…

However, these smaller resorts offer good accommodation some with direct seafront views, The Nest Box (tiny, tiny bungalows), Sita Gardens, Chong Fah Resort, Fanari Oceanside, Ayara Villas, Shambala. See Map at http://www.t3x.de/khaolak/BangNiangKarte.htm

Hope this helps.

Thanks Arandora

Is there a particular one you would recommend. Our budget is around 3000 baht a night. The map you sent will be very helpful in planning.

I think it's a question of what is available within your budget and taking it from there. The rooms at all of the resorts directly overlooking the beach will be most expensive. The Chong Fah is a lovely small boutique resort and is very popular with lots of repeat guests which keeps prices high. The Fanari is very good value. Ayara Villas has only a few beach bungalows on its three sites. Sita Gardens is very small with no facilities and the Nest Box ridiculously tiny accommodation. Shambala is very good but tends to be expensive.
