Tachai Island

Hi. Currently staying at the JWM and are looking at a day trip -maybe Tachai Island. Had a quote of 3100 per person from Wow Andaman for five of us. Seems quite high but I could be completely wrong. Can't push them any lower. One TA. Member told

Me they got this by bartering down to 2300 pp. this was August though. My question is, does this seem about right to you or should I try another company and if so, can anyone recommend one they have used for this trip that comes out lower?

That is incredibly expensive. No wonder they are called WOW! Even 2300 baht pp is more than others have been trying. Go to a local tour shop and ask for "best price" for Fantastic Similan. You can book Similans currently with Fantastic for 1700 baht and Tachai is usually no more than about 400 baht more.

Thanks for this. We will have a wander down. If push comes to shove we will get a taxi into the town to try and sort. Can you recommend a good tour broker to try?

Our friends just booked the Similans trip with Fantastic at the last tour shop on the left going down from the Nang Thong Supermarket. Try the others going down the highway from the NT Supermarket on the right and Komol's in the passage next to McDonald's.
