Booking NTBR1 - not asking for a deposit?

Hi KL forummers. I'm a long time visitor to Thailand but am visiting Khao Lak for the first time late November. We are traveling in a group of 9 with varying budgets so have enquired with NRBR1 who have garden bungalows available.

When I asked about paying a deposit they have said they don't require one, just confirm in August and pay in full on arrival. I know they operate differently than many resorts but is this usual? My travelling companions are a bit nervous thinking we might get there and no booking.

Can any who has stayed before confirm that this is the usual arrangement?

Thanks very much. I'm really excited to get to see this part of Thailand :)

Don't worry ... in 5 years of staying at NTBR1 they have never asked me for a deposit.

Just make sure you confirm your requirements in August as they have advised.

Enjoy!

Hi Allie

We have stayed 6 times in 3 years booking direct with Jist and have never been asked to pay a deposit. Sometimes its pay on arrival others on checking out.

Actually, I just this week booked a beach front bungalow for next month and again for end November and no deposits required. Tell your friends not to worry, all is good. You will all love NTBR1 and Khao Lak.

What dates in November will you be there?

Regards

Terry

Alan

We will be there for a week from 28th Nov. We are on Phuket the week before for my sons wedding at Merlin Beach and couldn't resist the temptation of squeezing in a week "home" at KL before heading back to Sydney.

Look forward to catching up
