Oh no!.................I cant stand the bloody things and have been to some lovely beaches and not been able to swim in the sea. Is there a specific time of year they are "about" in Khao Lak?

Whilst reading of some members being stung, having been here for nearly 6 weeks now and have spent time on all the beaches we have seen less jellies washed up than in previous years and very few local warnings. No evidence to suppose that Khao Lak is any more prone to jellyfish than other popular beach resorts. When their presence is high resorts usually have warnings for their guests. The rougher than usual seas of November and December may account for the reports from those there during that time when the jellies were driven inshore. We've just had full moon and high tides so should be more settled now.
