Are there still beach restaurants?

How is the situation in Khao Lak now? I have read and seen pics from Phuket after the military "cleaned" the beaches from what they called illegal beach restaurants and sunchairs.

Are going back to former Le Meridien and are so looking forward to re-visit Rimlay restaurant.

The Rimlay is still on the beach we ate there last month.

Just walked up to the Rim Lay and it is in full swing. There are other restaurants to the right of the Pullman, as it is now called, just past the Beyond and more across the creek leading up to the Mai either completed and operating or in the course of construction on authorised/private land. Less than previous years but IMO enough choice and the beaches look the better for it.

Thank you both for that! Are looking forward to return. I liked the beach restaurants for lunch so I am happy they are still there.
