It's supposed to open December 1.
I booked a Cottage Room for next July/August - 1500 baht/night (tax & service fees included) w/breakfast & free cancellation using Booking.com.
EDIT: P.S. The Leaf on The Sands is wonderful. I stayed there last July/Aug.Edited: 21 November 2014, 11:46
Thanks so much. Wasn't it supposed to open on 1st November? I'm thinking of a Cottage Room too as they're supposed to be closer to the pool but I also like the look of the Villas. Such a good price!! Although The Leaf on the Sands is good value too - and it looks like maybe the pool is better?
It was supposed to open November 1, but... (from what I saw last Aug., I'd be very leery if I had a booking before Christmas).
I liked the Fun Pool at TLOTS better than the Leaf Pool because there's more vegetation around it... and it has a swim-up bar. I was in a Villa Room just steps away from the Fun Pool.
I booked a Cottage Room at TLO to be close to the pool. The official website says there are two pools. However, pictures seem to show only one. Perhaps they are building a new, second pool - same as they did with TLOTS. I'll check it out when I am in Khao Lak this coming Jan. - Mar.
Next July/August, I'm going to spend 4 weeks in a Cottage Room at TLO (my Booking.com booking - that price is no longer available), then probably move to a Villa Room at TLOTS (not booked yet).
