Lanterns

Hi all

Does anyone know of anywhere we can buy lanterns and let them off at the beach?

Also I am in desperate need of a laundry with a super fast turnaround time?

We are staying at Centara and arriving this afternoon. So excited. Thanks in advance

Most of the shops selling touristy stuff sell the lanterns. We usually buy ours from a shop about halway up the street that leads from the Centara to the Supermarket.

Again, a lot of palces do laundry, if you drop off one day, available the next.

Just ask if you need quicker than this, morning drop off may be available in the afternoon.

Bear in mind that most local laundries either dry completely or finish off drying naturally rather than in driers so if you want super fast, you will need to take that into account.

it is nice to see the lanterns go up,but, remember, they have to come down, mostly,at this time of year,in the sea.if you must use lanterns, get the ones made from, bamboo, not the ones with a bit of steel wire.the tsunami anniversary is going to see 1000s of the things, and the sea the next day will be awash with them
