Similan or Surin?

We are travelling to Khao Lak for the first time in April next year.

We are regular Phuket travellers but have decided for a change in 2015 so have decided upon Khao Lak.

Which is the better option for a day snorkelling trip - Similan or Surin Islands?

Can anyone recommend a good company to book with?

Thanks in advance!

Reports last season were that the corals at both were not in good shape and many fish but not many big ones but enjoyable and very popular nevertheless. The Similans are far busier and you may wish to s consider the beautiful and smaller Koh Tachai.

Recommended operators include Fantastic Similan, Kuraburi Greenview, Love Adaman, Ruk Talay, Barracuda. Rates are very competitive so book when you arrive.
