Hi all first time to thialand just wondered whats the norm for money do we take travellers or good old sterling for two weeks thanx in advance stevie.......

Do not exchange any £ to Bahts in UK before you leave. You can change some for immediate needs in the airport at better rates when you arrive. If you are happy to accept the risk of keeping your cash secure in the safe in your room or hotel safety deposit cash has best rates and no charges. TCs are now more expensive as there is a charge of 153 baht per cheque cashed but if you want to mix cash and TCs buy large denomination ones and only American Express TCs are accepted.
