Ramada or Paradise Resort. Which one please.

Hi Guys.

I think we have narrowed our search down to these two resorts. Hopefully returning in February, 2015. Is one of these resorts easier to walk to town than the other. Is one more accessible to restaurants and has one got better beach for swimming.

Cheers Bob and Chriw.

1. Re: Ramada or Paradise Resort. Which one please.

The excellent traditional Thai style Paradise Resort is towards the northern end of lovely Sunset Beach. See pics at https:/… Nos. 37 & 38 are Paradise beach frontage. It has restaurant and accommodation at beach level with other accommodation set among the trees rising up the steep hillside to Reception on the main highway. From there into "town" in this case Bang La On is a lovely (but hot in full sun) 20-30 minute stroll but a longer walk back uphill. So most walk down and catch a taxi back. There is only one beach restaurant, Michael's nearby, with the Muan Lai perched up a steep climb overlooking the northern coastline. Beach is excllent for swimming.

The also excellent pseudo Japanese style Ramada is located on the best part of Bang Niang Beach which is also excellent for swimming. See pics at https:/… The Ramada frontage is pics 14-20 with 21 to 25 showing adjacent restaurants to the south with more across the creek onto Nang Thong Beach. "Town" in this case Bang Niang is a 10-20 minute stroll depending which restaurants or bar areas you want with Bang Niang Market being at the top of the beach road. If by "town" you mean Bang La On, that is about 10 minutes by taxi or a longer walk down the beach and along Nang Thong Beach to emerge at the Nang Thong Supermarket.

Thankyou very much Alan.

We are slightly leaning towards Paradise at this point in time.

Once again, thanks so much for the info.

Cheers Bob/Chris
