Arandora,

I believe you are mistaken.

It seems Katathani bought the Khao Lak Countryside Resort & Spa, and (as the they did with the Andaburi to make 'The Leaf On The Sands') are refurbishing it to be 'The Leaf Oceanside'.

I confirmed that Katathani bought the Khao Lak Countryside Resort & Spa and reband to The Leaf Oceanside.

I note that they use McDonalds as a landmark on their map, but refer to the 'culinary' centre of Khao Lak. Nice!

My mistake. So the Leaf Countryside is down Nang Thong Beach Road on the left from the Nang Thong Supermarket and the Leaf on the Sands is the former Andaburi which became the Leaf at the top end of Bang La On on the left of the access road down to the Sands. My previous reply removed to avoid even further confusion.

I think using McDonalds as a landmark on their map is genius. No matter what one thinks of their 'cuisine', everyone knows where it is. Plus, any kid who sees the map (even if they are too young to read) will bug Mom & Dad to stay at "the place by McDonalds".
