Khao Lak/ Krabi

Hi, I know this is a preference call but we are looking to go either Khao Lak or Krabi for this December. Any feedback or recommendations will be grateful for. We want to be close to beach but not too noisy, we want to be able to visit a few different restaurants/bars as well !

Last year we were at Cape Panwa and whilst we couldn't fault hotel is was very limited of an evening. Again thank you for any thoughts/ideas.

"Budget will be up to 1500 per person all in." - sorry, does that mean £1500 per person or £3000 for a couple for just accommodation for 21 nights in either Khao Lak or Krabi? And what is "all in"?

Your dates include Xmas and Peak Season rates start about 15th December and flights for that period will also be at the most expensive. So you could be looking at £600 to £700 for flights and transfers from UK to either Phuket (for Khao Lak) or Krabi. Assuming £1400 for flights that leaves £1600 for 21 nights accommodation or roughly £76 a night which currently is about 4100 baht per night. I would advise you to look for flights using Skyscanner.net (but booking direct with the airline or someone like NetFlights.com or Expedia.com rather than "cheapo" 3rd party websites) and Booking.com for accommodation (as it covers most if not all of resorts in Khao Lak) for your dates and see what comes within your budget. Then post back for further information on any that you fancy.
