While I'm unfamiliar with both resorts, 'All Inclusive' is not a wise choice.

I am not sure exactly what you are saying, but if you have gone all inclusive at the second resort, I would change that to b&b.

Excellent, you won't regret it. The food in Thailand is amazing and cheap - enjoy!!

The Mai is a new family oriented resort at the end of beautiful Pak Weeb Beach just before it crosses over onto Bang Sak Beach. There are beach restaurants, bars and massage places in both directions, the bes of which are Ma Ma & Mr Lek's & Sabai Sabai. No shops nearby but about 25 minutes to Bang Niang & Bang La On.

Mai Khao lak is a new nice hotel with opening in Nov 2012.

The only concern is it "far out" if you would like to go out in the evening to do things.
