Here's news of a further event to raise funds for Anders Jensen, friend of Khao Lak, and severely injured in a motor cycle accident that might interest any members currently in Khao Lak.
The owners of the Khao Niau Restaurant (just down from the entrance to Bang Niang Market on the highway) have made the restaurant available on Sunday 24th March 2013. This message from Anders' friends who have organised the event explains it:
"As many of you already know, our good friend Anders had a bad motorbike accident a few days ago. He is slowly recovering in Phuket right now, and we all pray he will be okay. Anders was between jobs when the accident happened, so he don't have any insurance. We want Anders back healthy in Khao Lak, so we are arranging a fund raiser on Sunday evening at 19.00
Pi Gaep (Gap) from the Lazy House Bar will provide LIVE MUSIC in Khao Niau Restaurant, and the Khampeera family will offer FREE FOOD for all. You can either bring your own drinks, or buy from the restaurant. Any money you feel you can give for the music and food will go to Anders' hospital bill.
Everyone (EVERYONE!) is WELCOME! Just coming to show your support is better than nothing. Thank you!"
No doubt there will be other local musicians too!
A further Music Night with as many of the local artists that can be assembled is also being organised in the next week or so at Walkers Inn.
