Has anyone flown to Khao lak with singapore airways? What are they like? We go in April and getting very excited now.
Singapore Airlines is a top class airline, they would take you to Singapore and the connection to Phuket is aboard Silk Air - ( wholly owned by Singapore Airlines and also carries Singapore Airlines flight number as well as their own ) , from Singapore to Phuket it is about 1 hr 40 mins, Changi Airport ( Singapore ) is a superb airport to transit throughEdited: 18 February 2013, 20:00
I agree with Monica, great airline. Also worth mentioning that they have some incredible deals for Asian flights from the UK at the moment for such a top class airline.
You can get recent reviews on the airlinequality website
we too are travelling with singapore airlines next december to khao lak.
this being our very first visit to thailand and also venturing on such a long trip we weren't at all sure of the best plant. should we either going for price or convenience.
after much deliberation we went with one of the shortest journey times which didn't seem too expensive.
i'm really glad to that this is being confirmed by others as well.
all the best.
I've travelled on over 30 international airlines over the past 40 years and I can tell you that Singapore International Airlines is the best. All others come second or further behind.
Thank you for your reports, have checked the airlinequality web site and i must say there are some definate mixed reviews, oh well we will just have to wait and see. Thanks again jane
hello, Singapore Airlines is one of the few 5 star airlines rated by Skytrax. They are really good for long haul flights even in economy class. They have great AVOD with a large selection of movies to kill time.
Be advised you can check-in 48h before your flight through their website: during the process you will be able to confirm/select your seats.
Changi airport in Singapore is among the 3 best airports in the world also rated by Skytrax. It is indeed a great airport with a lot of - free - things to do; You may wish staying longer at the airport :)
If you need particular info for your transit at Changi Airport just pop in the Singapore forum.
Have a nice travel.
Hi there and thank you for your reply and information, will definately go online to check-in and confirm seats.
Changi airport in singapore sounds great but dont think we will have long there, what do you mean by lots of free things to do?
Yes agree with huow. There are plenty to do at Changi airport. And many are free such as free city tours if you have more than 5 hours of transit time, free places to explore such as the gardens which there are a few such as the butterfly garden, sunflower garden, free movies, etc. Anyway have a read on what are available at Changi
Welcome to Singapore!
