Restaurants in low-season

We consider going to Khao Lak in second part of October. We know it's low season. Are restaurants, pizza's or other places normally opened in October?

Most of the restaurants in the main townships of Bang La On or Bang Niang will be open or re-opening in preparation for the forthcoming High Season. Also beach restaurants that already are not open will open as soon as weather and beach conditions allow. There will be plenty of choice, including pizza places!

Thank you for your quick reply.

PS. Do you have any secret news about the current weather in Khao Lak or predictions for next several days? :) Is is it safe to book the trip for that period?

Weather today was sunny. Tomorrow? Next several days???? If I could forecast the weather anywhere I would be betting on the Lottery! :-) Of course there is a risk with the weather but it will still be hot and accommodation prices will be low.

What alternative destinations are you considering?

Yesterday we thought about Cuba, but we were a little bit scared of hurricanes there :(

We've been considering Thailand for last two weeks, but we're not sure about the heavy rains.

The last alternative is Europe and Lanzarote, but it looks less exotic and less adequate for... our honeymoon :)
