Ramada - What's happening with rates??

Not sure if anyone has noticed.

Last week, we were looking at rates on line for the Ramada for August 2012. Rates were around 2 500 baht a night. This week they have shot up to 12 000 baht a night for the same dates. Strangly, the same as high season rates.

There is a bargin out there though. Rates return to around 6 000 baht a night in Feburary 2013.

Doesn't pay to be slow in booking!!

There is a current scoopon for the ramada - 7 nights for under $700 (cant remember exact deal) plus you get some extras. I almost bought it but have to get flights sorted first! Such a good deal though.

I ran into the same problem a couple of months ago, prices went from $79Au to about $300Au so booked La Flora when a great deal came up.

Not long after I booked they came down again so haven't a clue what is happening. At the time the prices jumped up, the only hotel booking site that had them under a $100 was hoteltravel but I decided to go with La Flora instead.

Might be worth waiting as it is low season and we checked out Khao Lak just this Monday and it is very very quiet up there so cannot imagine that you

wont get a cheaper deal.

La Flora and the Ramada are both next to each other and a lovely spot.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies.

The scoopon deals sounds great, but we are only looking for a couple of nights to supplement the 3 weeks we have already arranged.

We are pretty flexible, so will watch the internet and see what deals come up over the next month.

Just being in Khao Lak for 3 weeks in August is a cheap deal in itself.

Have you emailed them to ask?

We emailed them to ask what the best price they could give us was and it came down considerably from what was advertised at the time.

We are going next month so hopefully it is good! :-)

Was thinking of doing that closer to the time if the rates didn't change direct with the Ramada or on the booking sites.

We have plenty of options if the rates don't suite us.

Enjoy your time, hope you get great weather.

Look forward to a JBR when you returm.
