We stay from November to April each year. November is the first month of the Dry Season and although the rain doesn't suddenly switch off (it rains throughout the Dry Season) we have found November to be one of the best months. Everywhere is fresher and greener after the Wet Season and all the beach and other restaurants that have been closed are open. The evenings are perfect, not too hot and low humidity. If it does rain it is usually a shower, perhaps heavy but not lasting long in the afternoon and drying up quickly.

The Sarojin is probably the most popular resort in Khao Lak for honeymoons. It is a small, luxury boutique resort with no children under 15 policy which virtually makes it "kids free". It is located on beautiful Pak Weeb Beach, the best of Khao Lak's several beaches, with beach restaurants within walking distance in either direction, particularly the excellent Boatyard to the left which is a super spot for a dinner at sunset. The resort runs a free shuttle into the main townships of Bang Niang and Bang La On, 15 and 20 minutes away respectively where you will find most resorts, bars and shops.

Hi there,

I've just returned from my honeymoon at the sarojin and have written an in depth review of it under the sarojin listing... In a nutshell though, the resort is beautiful but unfortunately we did have some problems (they 'forgot' to organize things we had in our package) which made us decide not to return there.

I think we just got unlucky - pretty much everyone else seems to have a 100% fantastic experience there. It's definitely beautiful!

We stayed for 10 nights and we did get a bit bored (we had rainy weather) but if all you want is to relax, it's great.

Also - the shuttle is 100 baht each way and runs about 5 times a day.

Hope that helps,

Jo :)
