Back Home :-( plus duty free update

Unfortunately now back home - 16 degrees when we landed in Syd this morning ... but a clear blue sky.

Confirming that Phuket airport will still not sell you duty free liquor if flying into Australia (they do not deliver to the gate, so do not comply with Aust Gov regulations) ... and all water and oversize gels/creme/liquids/etc will be taken from you at the ramp (even if purchased in the secure/duty free section). Three separate baggage inspections between checking-in and boarding.

Jetstar were also enforcing the carry-on baggage rule - 1 piece x 10kg max.

Reviews to follow over the next few days.

Regards Jeff

Yeah that's really annoying that they take your water bottles off you when boarding (purchased in the secure section), and my hubby had a bottle of bourbon taken off him that he purchased duty free last year - believe me he was not happy:(

Look forward to your report & reviews tho... we will be in Khao Lak at the beginning of July!!! :)
