Pool access la flora

Just wondering if they are worth the extra money ? Can everyone swim in this area does it make your room not very private ? If anyone could explain more that would be great . Also should we spend a couple of nights in Phuket for shopping etc before la flora or not worth it

Thanks

There are two pools at the La Flora. The first is a regular shaped infinity pool at the beachfront, the second is an irregular shaped free form pool that meanders through parts of the resort with some rooms offering direct entry into it. Other guests can use the pool so inevitably they may pass these rooms but that is probably the case in other resorts with pool access rooms like the J W Marriott and the Merlin. I don't think it is intrusive though.

As for shopping it depends what you are looking for. The shops in Khao Lak are mainly souvenirs, beach wear, t-shirts and the like, no designer plazas or malls as there in Phuket, Jung Ceylon in Patong, for instance. There is also a largish market 3 times a week, Mondays, Wednesday and Saturdays with similar items that is within easy walking distance of La Flora. You could, of course, take a local taxi from Khao Lak to Phuket for the day.
