Ramada Honeymoon - July?

Hi All,

We have been tossing up whether to travel to Khao Lak for our Honeymoon in July (after visiting Phuket) ...

I love the look of the pool villas at Ramada - anyone recommend them for honeymoon??

- But - I have read a number of posts which suggests that most things in Khao Lak are closed at this time of year. We are by no means people who want to go out all the time, but don't want to be 'stuck' at the resort all day every day either....

Should we just stay on in Phuket or is it worth the trip??

thanks heaps !!

Firstly, the pool villas at the Ramada are superb. However, you may feel a bit claustrophobic in them as they are very privately enclosed within walls - maybe even more ideal for a honeymoon!.

Secondly, July is in the middle of the Wet Season,in Khao Lak as it is in Phuket, but it will be quieter. However, it depends where you are staying in Phuket. Some resorts are further from the busier areas than the Ramada is from the main township of Bang La On, which is only 10 minutes down the road. That is not to stay that everywhere in Bang Niang where the Ramada is located will be closed. It won't.

The Sarojin on beautiful Pak Weeb Beach is more secluded but is the favourite of honeymooners in Khao Lak because of its excellent range of events and activities it offers for such special occasions.

Khao Lak is wonderful...!!...That's why people keep returning year after year...!!

We always travel in low season and yes...lots of places are closed, however a lot of places remain open too...In fact more places open than closed....

And during July...It is very quiet...Perfect for lovers and honeymooners...!!..Sigh..!!....Definitely worth it...!!

Thanks guys!

As long as something is open I will be happy- Just want to break it up a bit!

Thanks Arandora for the info re Ramada - I was actually concerned that in the photos it looked a bit on the not so private side, but i am pleased it is private and it sounds perfect for us!

We are so excited to visit Khao Lak - we have been to Phuket before but not to Khao Lak so it should be good!

Thanks again!! :-)

Hi Luck0Irish.

Khao Lak wins hands down for us..... Been to both areas and no comparison for us for quietness and beauty. Particularly for a honeymoon or wedding definitely Khao Lak....
