ATM and money exchange near Marriott

hi all,

can you suggest if one can get money exchange and ATM near marriott, and wat about traveller cheque.

how are the exchange rates, are they rip offs or good rates .

ATM and banks exchange booth in Thailand have the exact same conversion rate in all the country at any given time for the same bank and very very little difference among the big banks.

No fees for cash (I hate going back to cash....) lot's fees for debit ATM, some local, some from your bank...

yeah planning to take some cash and travellers cheque .. do they if money changers are easily available near marriott .. i plan to take usd ..

No ATMs near JWM. Nearest at the gas station on the way to Bang Niang or at the 711 near Khuk Khak Bus Station but best to get shuttle or taxi to Bang La On where all the banks are. It will cost you 150 baht by Thai bank plus whatever your bank charges for using ATM. Charge for TCs is 33 baht per cheque. Rate for TC same as cash.
