Khao Lak with toddler

Khao Lak with toddler

We are booked at the JW Marriott in Khao Lak for three nights and are considering adding a few nights on to our vacation at a different (cheaper) hotel. We are thinking that our time at the Marriott will be mostly beach/pool/R&R. Any suggestions on what else we could do. Also, is there any snorkeling in Khao Lak without going all the way to the Similan/Surin/Phi Phis???

Thanks in advance

When are you staying at thew JWM? How many extra nights are you thinking of? The FAQ on the right "What are the TOP TOURS or THINGS TO DO in and around Khao Lak will give you ideas of what is on offer other than beach/pool/R&R.

As the coastline of all of Khao Lak's 25km of beaches is tidal and there are no inshore reefs accounts for there being no snorkeling to speak of from the beaches. The nearest and best is the Similan and Surin Islands and Koh Tachai.
