For all you Golfers who can't wait to get home to knock the little white pill around often a wet and windswept farmer's field (No, I'm not a golfer!!!) the Annual Khao Lak Golf Tournament will be held on 19th November 2011 at the Royal Navy Golf Course at Tab Lamu, about 20 minutes south of Khao Lak.
It is a 2 Ball Combined Stableford Competition (whatever that is!!!) and clubs and a buggy (like a sangthaew only smaller - joking!!) can be hired if you've not lugged yours all the way across several continents to play.
The 6000 baht entry fee per team of 2 (ah, that's why it's 2 Ball!) includes green fee, caddies (I hear tiger Woods' former caddie is looking for a new top earner to accompany him around the world!) and dinner for 2 people. The Prize giving dinner will be held at the Ayara Villas Resort on Bang Niang Beach at 7.30pm with extra dinners for non-players at 450 baht, 150 baht for children under 12, Free for children under 4.
This very worthwhile event is organised by and benefits the Khao Lak Community Appeal Foundation and Foundation for Education and Development.
