Yes. Corner plot opposite FX and Sita Gardens. A large number of small bungalows for the size of the site previously a resort destroyed by the Tsunami with not very much space in between or views, other than of other bungalows. Completely opposite strategy from the other new large resorts currently under construction. Gerd & Noi were one of original backpacker type accommodation providers. Not sure what the market is for this resort. Still, it tidies up an otherwise untidy plot.

Yes, have to agree....bungalows looked quite small and close together. Great position though. Is this resort open yet? Wonder what the rates are like?

Website not ready yet and I can't find details of rates elsewhere. Angie, I think your lot would need a bungalow each! LOL

We saw this hotel being built in July and couldn't believe how many "bungalowettes" we being squeezed onto the block. Here are a couple of pics I took:

I agree with emjean about the great location - nice and close to Chong Fah Restaurant!

Some body must have money or influence. The road past Gerd and Noi has now been resealed. From the road which runs to the Chong Fah restaurant up to the Casa de la Flora.

You must have some influence Arandora. No pot holes for you this year, must have heard about your dodgy hip!!!

Thats great news Tanmar..

riding push bikes bikes up and down that bumpy road many times was at best unpleasant

i'm intrigued whether the roll down grass on the corner of

bang niang soi 1 and bang niang rd is looking lush and green

took great delight in watching it being installed

{we do some of this at work }

And to you Mrs H,number 56 or 57 [from memory] at the chong fah restaurant was the nicest cheepie noodle dish i had....great stuff..
