Best Pad Thai?

I'm a huge fan of this Thai staple and am travelling to KL for the fisrt time in August staying Nang Thong. Are there any street vendors this time of the year or small local places or even resorts that do a good job with this noodle dish?

You can get Phad Thai throughout Khao Lak both at restaurants, street vendors, such as outside the Nang Thong Supermarket (you'll soon find that, as it is the centre of Bang La On where you are staying and is a popular spot for not only phad thai but yummy Thai pancakes, chicken skewers and others accompanied by a cold beer or two from inside the supermarket - tables outside - a delicious and cheap meal!)) or in the local small food courts that are now springing up along the highway. If you go left up the highway from the Nang Thong Supermarket you will pass these as you go along. There is one in particular next door to the excellent Boonyarit's Kitchen (opposite the Book Tree) that has Pad Thai at 30 baht.

It is offered with chicken or prawn or both or neither.

Thanks for this good news information. Can't wait to have a few cold singhas and a pad thai kung at all of the places you have described!

August too far away!

Cheers

Tom
