Low Season

Hi There, We are going to JWM Khao Lak on the 17th May. As it is the start of low season will the beach restaurants still be open? and will there still be tours to the islands for snorkelling?

Any response welcome

Thanks

Mike

There might be one of the beach restaurants (to the left looking out to sea) that remains open, the others were already closing when we left in mid-April. The Similan and Surin Islands close between May and beginning of November and no snorkelling tours, I'm afraid. If you haven't been already a day trip down to Phang Nga Bay with a longtail boat out into the Bay and Sea Canoes plus a visit to the Monkey Caves is well worth considering as is a trip north to Khao Sok and the Cheow Lan Lake.

Yes there is. See this article in local Khao Lak Echo khaolakecho.com/index.php… and wait for "surfing dude" Cocotang to come along and give more information. :-)

Yeah Cliffy the legend .......previously known as "Cocotang" now known as the "Khao Lak Surfing Dude!

I can vouch for this.......the only guy on the beach at Bang Niang .

Could see him from our unit deck at Ramada

He's a definite dedicated follower of SURFING!
