Just checked Magicseaweed.com 7 day surf and weather forecasts.....

Swells up to 8 1/2 feet accompanied by storms and high winds predicted for Sunday thru to Tuesday.....

We arrive late Friday night so we might get in a clear Saturday if we're lucky....Not optimistic tho'...??...

Thanks Procol...!!...Will check out windguru...!!...No need to be sorry,I know what to expect.....

Partly why I am going is for the surf....The first weekend is going to be rough but not ready....Wave size doesn't bother me as such...If the conditions are good and the wind is right....Then I'll be happy....!!....But not feeling optimistic for the first few days.....

We are trying Khao Lak Riverside in Bang Niang for 3 weeks....Should be a good stay...Good reviews...!!

hi cocotang

we stayed at the ramada, a stones throw away from the riverside,

went up the creek and had a bit of a stickybeak

looks interesting.

will be a lot more lush once a bit of foliage happens around the place.will be most interested in your thoughts about the place

next years trip is only 330 sleeps to go,

if you have the time, inclination or couldn't be bothered, i, as others would be most interested in a few weather updates, as many or few as you care to post.

if you are going to book any tours etc, there is a little shop

"khao lak beach service ' next to, you guessed it, another tailor shop

its on the road running from the ramada to the main side street.

if you get there say hi to "sudara ' from will and rodney from australia..

she is great...

happy travels

Update surf and weather check via Magicseaweed

Friday.........Stormy and swell around 2.5 feet

Saturday.....Storms and swell up to 8.5 feet

Sunday........Storms and swell up to 11 feet...wind gusts to 26 MPH

Monday thru to Thursday...storms and swell 7 - 8 feet....

So,Phuket/Khao Lak is in for for some nasty weather, high winds and big seas.....

However, forecast could vary a little as the days go by....
