Khao Lak in July?

Hi

we have just booked our holidays for the first few weeks in july. we have 3 nights in Bangkok and then have a further 10 nights to fill. we were wanting to go back to Khao Lak as we had a great holiday there last April. Just wondering what peoples views are about Khao Lak in July. We stayed at Bang Niang last time we were there. Would most of the restaurants be open? We have also thought about spending 5 nights Khao lak and 5 nights in phuket.

Any advice most welcome!

We will be travelling with 2 teenagers 16&18.

Many restaurants close in July in Bang Niang but enough stay open to keep you supplied with great food and it is quieter thatn Bang La On where more stay open. Beach conditions are, like Phuket, not conducive to swimming though so need to be very careful and beware of rip tides and strong currents.

I love Khao Lak - but would not go in July, unless you just want to hang around a pool.
