Oriental and Fanari

Does anyone have any further info on these two resorts (such as locale to beach/restaurants/condition of resort etc. Have found some fabulous bargains for the low season at these places but there is not much info out there about these 2 resorts. Thankyou in advance!

The Oriental Resort is located next door to its sister hotel the Bhandari and both are located across a quiet access road running parallel to Nang Thong Beach which is less than 5 minutes walk away. This is the prettier, less developed end of the beach and in Low Season great for walking. Unfortunately the local beach restaurants a few hundred metres to the north before it crosses over to Bang Niang Beach will be closed. However, you are only 10 - 15 minutes walk up to the highway into the centre of Bang La On, the main township of Khao Lak where you will find plenty restaurants, bars and shops, passing some on the way.

The Fanari is a lovely small bungalow resort located directly beach front on Bang Niang Beach with some beachfront bungalows offering among the best views of KL's wonderful sunsets. Bang Niang tends to be quieter than Bang La On but there are restaurants and bars that remain open throughout the Low Season.

Different kinds of resorts in different kinds of locations. You pays your money and enjoys your choice!
