Tuk Tuk from Sunset Beach to Baan La On

Hi all. We're heading to Khao Lak in June & were hoping someone might be able to advise how much it costs to get a tuk tuk from the Khao Lak Bayfront Resort into Khao Lak town & back.

Hi,

It will cost about 100B in a tuk tuk or a 15 minute walk.

Thanks Julie. Also, as we will be there in the low season, are there likely to be convenience stores & restaurants open in the immediate vicinity of the Bayfront or will we have to head into town?

There are no convenience stores or restaurants in the vicinity of the Bayfront at all so you will need to go down into Bang la On where there will be plenty open. It's a nice walk along the walkway bordering the highway with great views over the coastline to the north, then a sangthaew (no tuk tuks in Khao Lak) back. Or you can walk down Sunset Beach around the rocks onto Nang Thong Beach and into town. Not recommended in the dark though.
