Shuttle bus - Le Meridien

Can anyone advise if theshuttle bus from Le Meridien stops in both Bang La On and Bang Niang?

As a Khoa Lak first timer I am a bit confused which of these places is the best 'stop' for good restaurants and which is the best for shops

Is the market held in either of these places?

And finally, are places on the shuttle plentiful or should we consider a taxi?

Thanks for any help given.

Anne

Hi Ann,

Bang Niang is about 10 minutes from Le Meridien aand Bang La On, which is the usual destination for the shuttle, 15 minutes. No sure whether you can get on or off at Bang Niang, where the market is held Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. If not, there are taxis just outside the main gate or you can book at the Rim Lay Restaurant on the beach.

There are more restaurants and shops in Bang la On but Bang Niang is rapidly catching up and contains, in y view some of KL's best restaurants e.g. Hill Tribes and The Candle with the Khao Niau offering an excellent Isan option.

Yes, it stops in both Bang La On and Bang Niang.

Both are good for both. But the Mon-Wed-Sat market in Bang Niang is a must for shopping.
