Please add us to the Khao Lak lovers list, because we certainly did. Beautiful beaches, great weather, beautiful sunsets, great walks. Great place to cycle too if you can cope with the heat as it is quite flat in the immediate area. We loved our hotel -La Flora, especially as we were so lucky to get a fantastic up-grade for the first time ever.
Food choices in the area are amazing and we did not have a bad meal anywhere- especially enjoyed the Candle – yummy duck in red curry, Ma Ma’s, Pla Thong ( beach) ,Coconut Grove and a restaurant that we tried after walking past several times and dismissing as too touristy – Jolly Seafood where the King Prawns in black pepper sauce was the best thing I ate in all of our hols. We found Pinocchios good too when we fancied something more Western one night.
Thank you to those who contribute and answer all the qu’s on this forum and especially to Alan for arranging the get together and Julie for the loan of you know what. It was great meeting you both and many others.
We did not do anywhere near as much as we planned due to my heavy cold for the first few days……so we have to come back, hopefully soon :)
