Mukdara or La Flora?????

HI

We are going to khao lak as part of our honeymoon (also Chiang Mai and Borneo), but having trouble picking which hotel would be best.

After searching the web its between a pool access room at La Flora or a Grand deluxe royal wing room at Mukdara.

We are both in out twentys and want somewhere nice to relax and enjoy the sun, which hotel would suit us best????

Many thanks

Tony

Hi Tony,

The Mukdara and La Flora are next door to each other on Bang Niang Beach so they both have many restaurants, both on or overlooking the beach and on the side roads up to the highway within easy walking distance. They also share the widest and probably best part of Bang Niang Beach.

Both are a mixture of hotel rooms (like the Mukdara and La Flora room type you have mentioned) and Thai style bungalows. The pool acces rooms at La Flora seem more attractive than those at the Mukdara which are located at the far side of the resort, furthest from the beach.

On balance I prefer the La Flora but you may have different tastes.

Hi Tony

Have to agree with Alan's comments on the two Hotels,we stayed for two weeeks at the Mukdara in Feb and while the Mukdara is ideally positioned it was just okay!

Certain aspects of the hotel and service need improvement.

I think the La Flora would be a better choice.
