Ayara Villas: the pool + taxi?

There was some reviews of Ayara Villas saying that the swimming pool is very small. But in pictures it looks decent...

Is it good if looking for good swim (going in July so the ocean might not be good place to swim)?

And how much is taxi from Ayara Villas to Bang Niang center?

What about to La On center?

From what I remember (Feb'07) Ayara villas had shuttle that went to town every night around 6pm. You had to make your own way home (maybe around $5 US?). The pool is not huge like an all-inclusive type pool. But It is a decent size, and largely unused until around 4pm when a few families swam with little ones.

We loved Ayara villas - the food was great too.

Have fun!

The pool near the beach at the original Ayaras Villas site is not very big, certainly not one for serious swimming in but the one at the rear near the hotel room complex is bigger.

You don't really nee a taxi to Bang Niang centre, it is well within walking distance but if you mean upto the highway (711, Takieng and other restaurants there) then about 100 baht I would think. To Bang La On probably 200 baht at most.

We are thinking to stay in the Pool Acess Room.

I think those rooms are at the bigger pool?

Arandora, is the Pinnochios also upto the highway?

Is there any minimart or something where to buy light cola/pepsi max + some snacks near the Ayara Villas?

Cinjama, ok, can't wait for your review + photos.

That would be great! Have a nice holiday and enjoy!

Pinnochio's is rougly half way between the beach and the highway at Bang Niang, probably a 10 minute stroll from the Ayara Villas. There is a small plaza just before you reach it opposite the entrance to the Mukdara where there is a small minimart which has sodas and snacks among other things.
