Restaurants near the Sarojin - October 2008

We are about to book our honeymoon at the Sarojin for mid to the end of October and I am just wondering about the other eateries near the hotel. We would like to be able to leave the resort to eat to both cut down on costs and to add variety. Will they be open at that time of year and are they easy to get to from the hotel?

Any advice appreciated!

We've also booked our honeymoon at the sarojin from the 18th to the end of October - Can't wait!

I think there are a few places to eat on the beach but I don't know if they'll be open at that time of year. I know there is a free bus into the town where there are meant to be loads of places but...

Again, any advice appreciated!

Maybe see you there...

Thanks for your post! Yes we are really looking forward to it. I spoke to our traval agent last night and she thinks that there should be places open on the beach to eat, and there is also a free shuttle into Khao Lak until 10pm - which will be fine for us as we are not very good at staying up late when on holiday anyway! And I actually don't think the hotel restaurants are as expensive as we think - compared to the UK.

Can't wait now! Yes maybe see you there.

Hello,

If you look through the hotel reviews for the Sarojin for guests who have stayed there in October one or two of them do mention eating outside at the beach restaurant. Whether they are all open or just one of them it is not clear. As you come out of the sarojin on the beach it would be on your right. I allways go in November and they are open then.It is easy to get to Khao Lak and there are some wonderfull dining places there.I beleive the shuttle is free at the Sarojin so it should be no problem. Also you will only pay a fraction of the price in the KL restaurants and beach places to what it will cost at the hotel. You can also go down to Bang Niang where there are dining places but it is not walkable 10 minutes by transport.
