Palm Gardens in Khao Lak

We are planning to stay for 10 nights and dive the surrounding areas including the Similians. We are interested in staying at the Palm Gardens Khao Lak but cannot find a great deal about this resort. We can't find it on the map either. Apparently the sea-bees dive team are based there. Any advice on other hotels to stay at close to a dive centre and on around £50 per night please?

The Palm Gardens is actually a very nice resort and, as you say, the base of Sea Bees Diving, a well respected dive outfit. Some good pictures at mykhaolak.de/resorts/khao-lak-palm-garden-re…

- a german site but excellent photos.

It's nearer to Bang La On rather than Bang Niang so within walking distance of most of the restaurants, bars and shop.

£50 a night is a good rate if it is Dry Season (November to April).

Khao Lak is full of Dive Centres so any resort is not that far away. The advantage of somewhere like the Palm Gardens is that you will be with the diving fraternity (albeitn mainly German or Scandinavian) but if you book dives through them you will be transported literally door to door.

Thank so much for all the information and yes the pictures of the resort do look good. We also found a good deal with Ramada so we are now not sure which to choose?! Any advise please?

Many thanks for all your help so far.

The Ramada is an excellent resort right on a great stretch of Bang Niang Beach within walking distance of restaurants and bars both on the beach and in Bang Niang.

Some of photos when we had a good look around at:

We prefer beach side rather than mountain side of the highway so would favour the Ramada.

Arandora,

Many thanks for your message and yes we are going to book to stay at the Ramada. The photos look good thank you. We are planning to stay longer now in view that there is so much to do.

Thanks again.
