The Sands - new wing vs old wing

Hello all

Wondering if anybody has stayed in the new aqua wing and previously stayed in the old wing of the hotel and can tell us if there’s much difference.

We’ve stayed previously in the old wing which was fine but might now be getting a little old and tired so wondering if it’s worth spending a little more on the sands rooms in the new wing?

Kids will most likely want to spend time in the waterpark but wondering if it will be noisier staying there vs over there other side and how far it is to walk from the old wing to the waterpark each day.

So in summary are the rooms in the aqua wing much better, is it noisy with the waterpark outside your door and if staying in old wing is it too much of a trek each day to the aqua wing waterpark?

Thanks in advance.

We've stayed in the old wing twice and the new wing once......new wing wins hands down!!

Rooms are spacious, well set out, bright, clean and comfortable. Noise was never an issue for us (although obviously there are lots of families).

To walk form one wing to another takes a couple of minutes if that.

We still preferred breakfast at the Floating Market rather than Manta Ray. Manta ray has heaps of sugary kids breakfast choices, where as a more spread out healthy option at FM.

Happy holidays....

Thanks Parkers. Excellent advice. Are you restricted to eating at Manta Ray if in acqua wing or can you still walk around to FM?

Hello, when we stayed we were told to eat at Manta Ray.....but I think if you persisted (politely) you would/should be able to eat breakfast in either.
