how fine are the sands

,, some may find it a weird questions.

we 've been to some places in thailand where the beach sands are super fine and great for beach combing. feels like you're walking on a great " sealy" mattress.

we are staying at haadsom. merlind and possibly bkl/ wanaburee/ayara. how fine are the sands over at those beaches??

We stayed at the Baan Khoa Lak (I think that's what you mean by BKL?). The sand there was just lovely, fine and soft to walk on yet ok to build sand castles (just looking at your photo so presume you have children). The only problem is it gets very hot, you could tell the new people at the resort as they didn't wear thier flip flops to the sea when they went for a swim! However this was only from say 1pm to 3pm the really hot bit of the day.

Also just down from the BKL are some rocks on the headland so great for exploring.

Hope this helps.

We were staying at Mukdara which is the neighbour of Ramada. The sands is soft and we love it. We also stay at Khao Lak Palm beach which is a neighbour from Baan Khao Lak. The sand is fine, some places is a bit rough. I like more at Bang Niang beach where Ramada lays. Ayara has a nice beach too and when you walk some 300 meters more you will find a beach that has no resort behind it. But Ayara villas is not so exclusive like the other hotels that you mentioned, according to my opinion.

I would not stay at Merlin because of the location. Is pretty far away from anything and the resort doesn't so nice at it looks like at the pics (again, according to my opinion)
